Thanks for choosing the Drinking Water Test Strips 21-in-1 — great choice. Your kit includes several test types, and each one has its own dip time and wait time. Follow the set that matches the strip you're using.

Drinking Water Test Strips 21-in-1

17-in-1 test strips

17 parameters
Step 1
Dip the strip in water for 2 seconds.
Step 2
Do NOT shake off excess fluid.
Step 3
Lay the strip flat on a horizontal surface.
Step 4
Wait 15 seconds, then compare with the color chart.

2-in-1 strips — Nitrate & Nitrite

2 parameters
Step 1
Immerse the test strip for 2 seconds.
Step 2
Do NOT shake off excess water.
Step 3
Hold the strip horizontally for 60 seconds.
Step 4
Compare against the color chart and read immediately.

Sulfate strip

1 parameter
Step 1
Dip the test strip with all test fields into the sample for 5 seconds.
Step 2
Shake off excess liquid.
Step 3
Wait 120 seconds.
Step 4
Compare the test field with the color scale.

Bacteria test — E. coli / Coliform

2 tests
Step 1
Start with clean, dry hands before testing.
Step 2
Open the self-sealing bag carefully — do NOT touch the inside of the bag.
Step 3
Fill with water sample to the point between the dotted lines (dropper included).
Step 4
Seal the bag, keeping it flat so the sample covers the entire test strip.
Step 5
Keep the bag at room temperature, no lower than 68°F, for 48 hours.
Read your result in good daylight
Always match the pads against the printed color chart in natural light. If a safety parameter like lead or nitrate reads high, re-test and consider a certified lab.
